Job 1v21

and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised."

This verse is one of my favourites. I think possibly because it is used in the song
Blessed be your Name by Matt and Beth Redman. It reminds me to praise God in all situations. Even though by any reasonable measure my life is very blessed there are still times when I am disapointed or fed up. This verse both reminds me that God is to be praised regardless of my situation but also that, in reality, things are actually pretty good.
